The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is an energetic dog that bonds quickly with its family. It is brave, intelligent, alert, and self-confident. The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is slightly less aggressive and less boisterous than the Cardigan Welsh Corgi. It barks occasionally and makes a good watchdog.

Pembroke Welsh Corgis are good with children as long as they are respected; some tend to nip at the heels. Pembrokes can get along well with cats and other pets if socialized when young, but may not be fond of other dogs. The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is somewhat suspicious around strangers and must be trained not to growl. Pembroke Welsh Corgis can be domineering over one another.

The Pembroke Welsh Corgi has an abundance of energy, requiring more exercise then its size indicates. Pembroke Welsh Corgis enjoy agility training and games of Frisbee catch. The Pembroke Welsh Corgi should not be made to jump from significant heights (even a few feet) or run for great distances because of its long back and short legs. It doesn’t mind apartment life as long as it is sufficiently exercised

Our puppies are raised in a clean, heated, and cooled environment. Our Mama dogs stay with their babies until they are around 6 weeks of age (as long as Mama permits). Puppies and Mama dogs have a strict deworming and vaccination schedule and are checked by our Veterinarian at around 7 weeks of age. We have been using the same Veterinarian for our family pets since 1977 (even before the establishment of our current breeding program).

About the Breed

About the Breed

The Basset Hound is independent but sociable, calm, patient, and playful. Basset Hounds are extremely kind and easygoing. They are very fond of their master and family. The Basset Hound can be a bit stubborn and food is usually near the top of their agenda. They have a deep bark and become single-minded while in pursuit on the trail. It is hard to look at one’s soft, melancholy face without wanting to give it a hug.

Basset Hounds are excellent playmates for children and get along great with dogs and other animals. Children should not be allowed to sit on or stress the dog’s back or pull its ears. The Basset Hound is a very social creature and does not like to be left alone. They may tend to drool.

Basset hounds do not require much exercise, but they tend to get excited and energetic once taken outdoors. They should be taken for short walks or allowed to play in the yard. Basset Hounds can live happily in an apartment.

About the Breed

The Miniature Schnauzer is even-tempered and an eager, intelligent learner. It is brave and fun, making and an excellent companion. Miniature Schnauzers are loyal, protective, and alert, but do not make good guard dogs due to their size. At times, they may be pushy if they don’t know who’s boss.

About the Breed

About the Breed

The Mastiff is confident, dignified, and very gentle-natured. Mastiffs rarely bark, but they are not fond of strangers and will defend their territory and family when necessary, making excellent guard dogs. The Mastiff tends to drool.
