About the Breed :

Country of Origin: The Cane Corso Italiano (also known as the ‘Italian Mastiff’ or ‘Cane Corso Mastiff’) is a war and hunting dog that originated in southern Italy. It likely descends from the Neapolitan mastiff and the Roman ‘Canis Pugnax’, a powerful war dog, though the Cane Corso Italiano is a lighter, more agile breed which was used by troops for hunting or as an auxiliary force (‘Corso’ comes from the Latin for ‘guardian’). The Cane Corso Italiano was also used in bull-baiting, a gambling ‘sport’ wherein one or more dogs were matched up against a chained bull. The Cane Corso Italiano had declined to near extinction by the 1980s, but since then an intentional effort to rescue the breed has increased the dog’s numbers substantially. It is most prominent in southern Italy.

Size: The Cane Corso Italiano has a shoulder height of 64-69 cm (24-27 in) for males and 58-61 cm (23-25 in) for females. Males weigh 45-50 kg (99-110 lbs) and females 40-45 kg (88-99 lbs). The Cane Corso Italiano is large, lean, and athletic in appearance, with ‘V’-shaped ears that flop forward, a long wide, muzzle, pronounced stop, and arched neck.

Character: The Cane Corso Italiano is a highly intelligent, loyal, and protective dog that is very versatile and trainable. It is even-tempered, alert, and confident, making an excellent guard or watchdog. Cane Corso Mastiffs are not aggressive but will defend their owners fiercely when necessary. They are nearly unstoppable in a fight due to their unusually high pain tolerance.

Temperament: The Cane Corso Mastiff is loyal, docile, and affectionate toward its family, especially children. The Cane Corso Italiano should be socialized when young to minimize aggression with strangers and other dogs, but even with training Cane Corso Italianos are usually on edge around those they don’t know.

About the Breed :

Country of Origin: The early origins of the Dogue de Bordeaux (also known as the ‘French Mastiff’ or ‘Bordeaux Bulldog’) are shrouded in mystery. Some say it descended from the Greek Molussus, others say it came from European mastiffs, perhaps the Neapolitan Mastiff. In any case, the source breed was adapted for violent dogfighting events such as bull-baiting and bear-baiting in fourteenth-century France. The Dogue de Bordeaux was named for the French city of Bordeaux, where a Dogue was bred which took first place at a Parisian dog show in 1863. A firm standard for this breed, however, did not appear until the 1920s, when the Mastiff influence was determined to be unfavorable. Today, the breed is most popular in France but is gaining increased attention in other countries. The Dogue de Bordeaux is still highly rare and at risk of being lost if strong lines are not developed. There are about 3,000 currently in the U.S. and foundation stock has been recognized by the American Kennel Club. A Dogue de Bordeaux named ‘Beasley’ starred alongside Tom Hanks in ‘Turner & Hooch’.

Size: The Dogue de Bordeaux has a shoulder height of 58-76 cm (23-30 in) and weighs 54-66 kg (120-145 lbs). It reaches its full height at one year old and its full weight at two years. Dogues de Bordeaux has short, muscular bodies with huge, wrinkly heads. They have a short muzzle, brown nose, and light eyes. Smaller Dogues de Bordeaux are sometimes referred to as ‘Domains’.

Character: Loyal and devoted to its family, the Bordeaux Bulldog is fearless and proud. It is gentle with children and family members, kindhearted, and sometimes gullible. Dogues de Bordeaux makes excellent watchdogs and guard dogs. They do tend to snore and sometimes drool.

Giant Schnauzer Breed and Breeder information

About the Breed :

Country of Origin: Schnauzers (meaning ‘small beard’ in German) are named after an actual dog, ‘Schnauzer’ who lived in Germany in the 1870s, but the breed itself existed as far back as the Middle Ages. This is evidenced by various sculptures and Rembrandt paintings. Early Schnauzers were likely derived by crossing gray spitzes with black poodles. This resulted in an adept rat hunter and guardian that became incredibly popular by the early 1900s, due in part to its distinct appearance. Standard Schnauzers (or ‘Mittelschnauzers’) became popular in World War I by serving as messengers and police dogs and increased in popularity as a pet after World War II. The Giant Schnauzer (or ‘Riesenschnauzer’) was bred in Bavaria and Württemberg, Germany, in the late 1800s by cattlemen who sought to make a version suitable for cattle herding. They crossed the Schnauzer with the Great Dane and rough-haired Sheepdogs. Giant Schnauzers were great cattle herders and became popular guard dogs and police dogs in Germany.

Size: The Giant Schnauzer has a shoulder height of 58-69 cm (23-27 in) and weighs 29-41 kg (65-90 lbs). The Giant Schnauzer has a long, rectangular head with small, deep eyes and highly set ears that may be cropped or uncropped. Giant Schnauzers have a flat back, highly set, erect tail, and small, round ‘cat feet’.

Character: The Giant Schnauzer is even-tempered and an eager, intelligent learner. It is brave and fun, making and an excellent companion. Giant Schnauzers also make fine guard dogs as they are loyal, protective, and alert. At times, they may be pushy if they don’t know who’s boss.

Temperament: The Giant Schnauzer gets along great with familiar children, dogs, and other pets, but it is wary and cautious with people and animals it does not know. Giant Schnauzers best behave when given sufficient exercise and human companionship. The Giant Schnauzer may be too energetic to play with young children unsupervised.

Hovawart Breed and Breeder information

Thank you very much for visiting my blog today, and I hope you read till the end and get your next dog from us.

The puppies in this litter are from Registered parents and can also be registered. Make sure to do research on this breed, and how it might fit your lifestyle before finding a responsible breeder with available puppies. AND PLEASE READ TILL, THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE, BEFORE YOU PROCEED

Currently, We do have male and female puppies available from this dog breed ( the puppy will come with 1 year extended genetic health warranty as well as lifetime breeder support. the puppy comes with the following,  all vaccinations, chip, EU passport, FCI, health certificate according to the requirements of the IHV breeding Association as well as starter pact ; (leash, collar, blanket, toys, and puppy rearing food).  ) please follow this page till the end read more about us and our breeding practice, and also please learn more about the dog breed as a way of making sure that you are getting the perfect pet for your lifestyle.

About the Breed :

Country of Origin: The Hovawart, which means ‘estate guard’, originated in the Black Forest region in southwest Germany in the 13th century or earlier. One of the first recorded mentions of the breed was a Hovawart who reportedly saved Eike von Repkow, a German lawmaker, during the overthrow of castle Ordensritterburg in 1210. By the late 1400s, the Hovawart was notable enough to be included in Heinrich Mynsinger’s list of ‘The Five Noble Breeds’. The breed was praised for its ability to track thieves and criminals. With the rise of the German Shepherd as a guard dog, the Hovawart slowly began to decline in popularity, becoming somewhat rare by the 1900s. In 1915, Kurt Friedrich Konig and other supporters led an effort to recreate the Medieval style Hovawart, basing their target on ancient writings and illustrations. The group located Hovawarts in their native land of the Black Forest and crossed them with Newfoundlands, German Shepherds, and Bernese Mountain Dogs. The first Hovawart litter was accepted by the German Breeding Registry in 1922. World War II caused a substantial setback for the Hovawart, but it continues to grow in popularity both in its native Germany and worldwide. PLEASE NOTE: This breed has been accepted for recording in the Foundation Stock Service (FSS). This is simply an avenue to maintain reputable records regarding the breed’s development. This breed is not eligible for AKC (American Kennel Club) registration.

Size: The Hovawart has a shoulder height of 23-28 in (58-70 cm) and weighs 55-90 lbs (25-51 kg). It has a wide skull with oval eyes, scissors bite, and high-set, triangular drop ears. It is slightly longer than it is tall, with muscular legs and a tail carried high when active but low when at rest.

Coat: The Hovawart has a long-haired, wavy coat that lies flat. It can be black, blonde, or black and gold. Black and gold are most popular, composed of shiny black and medium to brown gold. Gold markings should be on the face below the eyes and nose, thumbprints above the eyes, and on the chest and toes.

Character: The Hovawart is good-natured and loyal, with a tendency to become especially devoted to one family member. Hovawarts are happiest when given sufficient exercise and attention. They have a great sense of smell and a well-balanced demeanor. The Hovawart does have an independent streak which makes it less than ideal for first-time owners.

Irish Setter Breed and Breeder information

Country of Origin: The Irish Setter, also known as the Irish Red Setter or Red Setter, originated in Ireland. The breed was developed by mixing the Irish Terrier, Irish Water Spaniel, English Setter, Pointer, and Gordon Setter breeds. The original red and white coat and shorter legs of the Irish Setter were selectively bred out, leaving today’s recognizable red coat. It is believed that the originally lower stature was in order for the dog to “set” its prey. Meaning that the Irish Setter would stand hovering low to the ground above the caught game in order for the hunter to walk over and throw a net over both the prey and the dog. The Irish Setter is a jack of all trades in the hunting arena. This breed is an excellent pointer as well as a retriever and is especially good for hunting game birds. The Irish Setter is coveted for its fantastic nose and quick feet. However, over time the Irish Setter has been bred more for their looks and the show ring than for their excellent hunting ability.

Size: The Irish Setter male will typically reach heights of 26-28 inches while the female is slightly smaller at 24-26 inches. The male will reach an average weight of 65-75 pounds with the female weighing in at 55-65 pounds.

Character: The Irish Setter is an extremely friendly breed that exhibits no guarding instinct. They will likely get along with everyone from other pets and children to strangers on the street. The Irish Setter is an intelligent breed and is very responsive to the tone of their master’s voice. A passive owner may be taken advantage of by their Irish Setter. If you do not feel that you can be a confident and commanding leader, it may be best to look for the more submissive puppies in the litter.

Temperament: The Irish Setter has an independent spirit which may make it difficult to train, however, they do respond with a firm but gentle hand and plenty of exercises. The Irish Setter can become high-strung and even destructive without proper mental and physical exercise. The field type Irish Setter will have a higher exercise drive than the bench(show) type, however, they will both require exercise. They are very quick and have a great sense of smell. The Irish Red and White Setter is a hardy dog and does well in any climate, including wet terrain.

MORE ABOUT THIS DOG BREEDER

For most of my adult life, I’ve wanted to raise/breed dogs and strive for excellence. . I always loved to volunteer at the local shelter. However, my allergies got the best of me and slowly I couldn’t be around most dogs nor Cats. Animals have always been my comfort. So in 1996, I started my journey as a Hobby Breeder with Hypoallergenic dogs. I’ve learned very quickly, through nutrition, vitamins, health play, exercise, early puppy training, and love you can have outstanding puppies!! The first eight weeks of puppy life are the foundation of the puppy’s future. We take this seriously and this is our priority.

The Doodles in our opinion are extraordinary.

With 28 years of breeding experience, you learn these pups are super smart and learn quickly. About the Breed :

Country of Origin: The Newfoundland (commonly called ‘Newf’ or ‘Newfie’) originated in Newfoundland, Canada, descending from a mix of indigenous breeds with either Viking dogs or the mastiffs of Portuguese fishermen. The resulting breed, present by the 1600s, was a black dog that loved swimming in cold waters; the black and white ‘Landseer’ Newfoundland developed a century later. The Newfoundland served as a helpful assistant by pulling heavy fishing nets or other equipment and rescuing sailors who had fallen overboard. Local laws limiting dog ownership to one dog per man kept Newfoundland’s numbers low in its home country, but it was exported to Europe, where its numbers grew as it became a popular show dog. In 1832, a Newfoundland name ‘Hairy Dog’ and its owners saved 180 Irish immigrants from the wrecked ship ‘Despatch’. A Newfoundland also reportedly saved Napoleon Bonaparte when he went overboard during his escape from Elba. Well-known Newfoundlands include ‘Sable Chief’, the mascot of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment, and ‘Nana’ from ‘Peter Pan’. Presidents Rutherford B. Hayes and James Buchanan had pet Newfoundlands. English poet Lord Byron had a pet Newfoundland for whom he wrote ‘Epitaph to a Dog’, which begins ‘Near this spot are deposited the remains of one who possessed beauty without vanity, strength without insolence, courage without ferocity, and all the virtues of man, without his vices. This praise, which would be unmeaning flattery if inscribed over human ashes, is but a just tribute to the memory of Boatswain, a dog.’

Size: The Newfoundland has a shoulder height of 56-76 cm (22-30 in) and weighs 50-69 kg (110-152 lbs). Some have been recorded at up to 90 kg (200 lbs). Newfoundlands have a broad head, small, deep-set eyes, and triangular ears. They have a flat back, tail carried low, and webbed feet.

Character: Newfoundland is good-humored, gentle, and protective of its family. It is affectionate and devoted, known for its friendliness to all people and animals. Newfoundland tends to slobber and creates a mess when drinking. Newfoundlands have a deep bark and make moderately good watchdogs (they are a little too friendly with strangers).

Temperament: The Newfoundland will be a good friend to any dog, animal, child, or visitor. Supervision around small children is recommended due to Newfoundland’s large size. Newfoundland will not adapt easily to new living situations once it has grown comfortable in a home.

Breeding just Newfoundland as a hobby and placing them primarily for therapy work and also into good loving families. This is NOT a puppy mill. We only breed purebred papillons and we breed them in Wyoming but deliver FREE to a large area.

About Us

HAPPY, HEALTHY BLOODLINE
ABOUT US
Welcome to our family! My name is Jaci and I am married to my wonderful husband Brett. We have four children, Zach, Ella, Kate, and Emmy. They are 9, 7, 5, and 4 and they sure do keep us busy! My husband is a 4th-grade teacher and I also taught at our local elementary school, until 2018 in which I then decided to take some time off work to take care of our four young children and give our pets the attention and care needed as well. We have been raising Newfoundlands together for the past 8 years and I have been in the business with my family prior to that ever since I was a child.

After my husband and I got married, we decided we wanted to have more than one Newfoundland running around our house. After days and months of discussion, we decided it was finally that “someday” we had been talking about and we purchased another Newfoundland to expand our own personal work with the breed. We then moved into my family home and have slowly taken over the original homestead and breeding program. My family is still highly involved and provides constant support in our success.

Our goal is to provide you with a high-quality pet you can love for many years to come. We strive to breed for the healthiest pups we can, as well as provide laid-back, wonderful temperaments. ABOUT OUR FACILITIES
Our Newfoundlands are provided with an indoor and outdoor living area. In the summer, they have access to air conditioning and fans. In the wintertime, they have two areas to stay warm. Newfoundlands were built for colder climates and they enjoy the weather in the winter (when it’s not freezing and negative temperatures) so they have the access to roam outside or come into a warm barn with bedding. When it is extreme temperatures, they are provided an indoor facility that is heated.
We have a large pond and numerous acres for the dogs to play with. When they are put into their “pens”, they can go inside and outside whenever they please. In these areas, they have automatic waterers and feeders and they also have over 150 feet of grass runs to play and romp around in. We welcome guests to our property to see where we keep our dogs. Please call and set up an appointment to come meet our pups and see our facilities.
Puppies are whelped initially within a back room in our house. Once they have been born and are showing all the signs of growth and health (about 10-14 days), we then move them to our “dog house”. There is heat and plenty of space to grow in this building. Once they are old enough to be in the outdoor climate, we move them to a heated/cooled area in our other building in which they have access to go in and out and play and interact with our dogs and cats. They are exposed to many situations and are interacted with daily. We have cats, a miniature horse, plenty of children, and lots of different noises from living on a farm. These babes have exposure to many things, making them easily adaptable to almost any situation and lovable by all ages!
*We do not allow anyone into our puppy nursery because of the risks it could present to our little babies.

About the Breed :

Country of Origin: The Neapolitan Mastiff (also known as the ‘Neo’, ‘Mastini’, or ‘Italian Mastiff’) is an Italian breed named after the region of Naples, where most of its development occurred. The Neapolitan Mastiff’s ancient origins are with the Molossians, an early Hellenic tribe known for its powerful guard dogs. In 326 B.C., King Porus of Punjab gave Alexander the Great a pair of Neapolitan Mastiffs which proved quite popular. These dogs were bred widely, producing many offspring which were adapted by the Romans as war dogs and fighters. They were also pitted in the Arena against gladiators, bears, and even elephants. The dogs were later crossed with fierce British guard dogs, producing an even larger, more powerful breed resembling the modern Neapolitan Mastiff. It was discovered near Naples in 1946 by Piere Scanziani, who standardized the breed and promoted its development. Few Neapolitan Mastiffs arrived in America until the 1970s. They were fully recognized by the American Kennel Club in 2004. Neapolitan Mastiffs have inspired portrayals in fictional literature including ‘Fang’ from ‘Harry Potter and ‘Pansy’ from Andrew Vachss’ series of Burke detective novels.

Size: The Neapolitan Mastiff has a shoulder height of 60-75 cm (23-30 in) and weighs 50-70 kg (110-150 lbs). It has a large, droopy, wrinkled head with large flews (upper lips) and dewlap (wrinkled folds beneath the chin), deep-set eyes which are almost entirely covered by folds, and pronounced stop (depression where the muzzle meets the forehead). Loose folds of skin cover nearly the entire body. Neapolitan Mastiffs have a flat back, round feet, and low-hanging tail docked to two-thirds its natural length.

Character: The Neapolitan Mastiff is confident, gentle-natured, and powerful. Bred as a guard dog, it is highly suspicious of strangers and protective of its property and family. It does not bark unless necessary. Neapolitan Mastiffs are intelligent, majestic, and noble. They do drool and tend to make a mess when eating and drinking.

Temperament: Neapolitan Mastiffs are very good with children if socialized early, but close supervision around young children is advised due to their massive size. The Neapolitan Mastiff generally gets along with other dogs and household pets, but socialization when young is recommended. Male Neapolitan Mastiffs may be aggressive with other male dogs.

Olde English Bulldogge Breed and Breeder information

Thank you very much for visiting my blog today, and I hope you read till the end and get your next dog from us.

About the Breed :

Country of Origin: The Olde English Bulldogge is an attempt to ‘breed back’ the English Bulldog as it appeared in the early 1800s (known as the ‘Regency Period Bull Baiter’), but with the mild personality of today’s breed. The English Bulldog (or simply ‘Bulldog’) was bred in England for bull baiting, a popular gambling ‘sport’ in which one or more dogs were matched up against a chained bull (or bear). The Olde English Bulldogge is recognized by the APRI, CKC, OREBA, NKC, and CKC. The most successful line was developed by David Leavitt in the 1970s and is half English Bulldog with the other half encompassing Bullmastiff, American Bulldog, and American Pit Bull Terrier. This line has since proved successful in obedience trials and therapeutic service.

Size: The Olde English Bulldogge’s shoulder height and weight vary, but it is usually at least 41 cm (16 in) tall and 23 kg (50 lbs) in weight. It has a compact, athletic body and large head with the distinctive Bulldog face—short, wide muzzle, undershot jaw, and wide, droopy face giving the appearance of a frown. The Olde English Bulldogge has a short tail, rounded chest, and compact, muscular body. It is distinguished from other Bulldog mixes by its full pump handle tail.

Character: The Olde English Bulldogge is affectionate, uncomplicated, gentle, intelligent, sensitive, and fearless when defending owner and property. The Olde English Bulldogge is known for its loyalty; its happy-go-lucky attitude is in sharp contrast to its sour face. Olde English Bulldogges are happiest at their owner’s side and will misbehave if ignored. Olde English Bulldogges are active, alert, and playful, but not unduly boisterous.

Temperament: Olde English Bulldogges enjoy mixing with other dogs and household pets. They are great with children, well-behaved, adaptable, comfortable companions with an affectionate nature and even disposition. Some Olde English Bulldogges are cautious with strangers, but most are friendly to everyone. They are likely to drool or snore.

MORE ABOUT THIS DOG BREEDER

About Us

HAPPY, HEALTHY BLOODLINE
We are an Olde English Bulldogge breeder located in Waverly Tennessee. The olde english bulldogge is an outstanding and athletic breed. We’ve owned many breeds and this is by far our favorite. The olde english bulldogge is a recreation of the original bulldog of the 1800’s. A combination of an english bulldog, bullmastiff, and American bulldog. The result was a muscular, medium-sized dog of great strength, stability, and athleticism. They make excellent family companions and are so sweet with kids. You will find Olde’s to be your protector and shadow; always by your side. We raise our bulldogged with our child helping along the way. Our goal is to produce pups with exceptional health, temperament, and outstanding structure.

Nutrition is very important to us here at Backwoods Bulldogges. Our dogs are fed a natural raw diet that we prepare in small batches. We alternate between ground raw meals and raw meat with bones. This way they get to chew and enjoy the meat as they would in the wild. The dogs are thrilled to eat their meals and the health benefits are endless.

Rhodesian Ridgeback Breed and Breeder information

Thank you very much for visiting my blog today, and I hope you read till the end and get your next dog from us.

The puppies in this litter are from Registered parents and can also be registered. Make sure to do research on this breed, and how it might fit your lifestyle before finding a responsible breeder with available puppies. AND PLEASE READ TILL, THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE, BEFORE YOU PROCEED

About the Breed :

Country of Origin: The Rhodesian Ridgeback (also known as the ‘African Lion Dog’, ‘African Lion Hound’, and ‘Van Rooyen’s Lion Dog’ for its capacity to harass lions) was bred in Zimbabwe (formerly Rhodesia) and is named for the distinctive ‘ridge’ on its back, which is formed by hairs running in the opposite direction to the rest of its coat. European settlers of Rhodesia in the 1700s found a domesticated dog with such a ridge among the native Khoisan tribe. They adapted the Rhodesian Ridgeback to the purpose of hunting lions and other large game, probably by crossing it with large breeds that came with them such as the Bloodhound, Greyhound, and Great Dane. The resulting breed could run at great speeds, withstand harsh weather conditions, and hunt by sight or scent. Groups of two Rhodesian Ridgebacks were sent out to the corner, taunt, and confuse a lion while the hunter stepped in for the kill. The first breed standard for the Rhodesian Ridgeback, based on the Dalmatian, was drawn up in 1924, and American Kennel Club recognition followed in 1955. Today, the Rhodesian Ridgeback is a popular show dog, companion, and hunter.

Size: The Rhodesian Ridgeback has a shoulder height of 61-69 cm (24-28 in) and weighs 32-36 kg (70-85 lbs). It has round eyes, a flat, broad skull, highly set ears, and pronounced stop (the point at which the muzzle meets the forehead). Rhodesian Ridgebacks have small feet and a strong tail that is slightly curved upwards. They should have a black nose and dark eyes or liver nose and amber eyes.

Character: The Rhodesian Ridgeback is loyal, intelligent, and straightforward. Rhodesian Ridgebacks are independent, brave, and cautious around strangers. The Rhodesian Ridgeback is highly territorial and can be aggressive if not properly trained.

Temperament: The Rhodesian Ridgeback should be socialized with cats and other dogs when young to prevent later problems. Rhodesian Ridgebacks are kind to children but will not tolerate mistreatment, so they should be supervised around young children.
